Modern Slavery Statement
Holland Park Cleaners Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps taken by Holland Park Cleaners to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to respect human rights and uphold fair, safe and lawful working conditions for all individuals associated with our services.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Holland Park Cleaners maintains a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and child labour. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place within our own operations or any part of our supply chain.
All directors, managers and employees are expected to support this commitment and to adhere to our internal policies on ethical conduct, fair treatment and respect for human rights. We also expect our suppliers, contractors and business partners to uphold equivalent standards.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Holland Park Cleaners provides professional cleaning services to residential and commercial clients. Our supply chain includes providers of cleaning products and equipment, workwear, facilities services and certain outsourced support functions. We understand that, without robust oversight, these supply chains may carry a risk of exploitation, particularly in relation to low-wage and manual work.
We are committed to understanding these risks and to working collaboratively with our suppliers and partners to promote transparency, accountability and ethical practices at every stage.
Due Diligence and Supplier Audits
To manage the risk of modern slavery in our supply chains, we conduct due diligence on new and existing suppliers that is proportionate to the level of risk identified. This includes assessing the nature of the goods or services provided, the geographic location, and the labour practices associated with the industry.
Our supplier requirements include adherence to all applicable labour, employment and human rights laws. We reserve the right to conduct audits or request evidence of compliance from suppliers. These audits may review employment records, working conditions, recruitment practices and the use of subcontractors. Where we identify non-compliance or material concerns, we will work with the supplier to agree and monitor a corrective action plan. Where serious or repeated breaches occur, we may terminate the business relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We encourage anyone connected with Holland Park Cleaners, including employees, agency workers, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders, to raise concerns about modern slavery or unethical conduct without fear of retaliation. Concerns can be reported through internal reporting mechanisms or directly to line managers or senior management.
All reports are taken seriously and are treated sensitively. We investigate concerns promptly and, where appropriate, take remedial action. We are committed to protecting individuals who raise concerns in good faith, and we will not tolerate any form of victimisation or disadvantage as a result of speaking up.
Training and Awareness
We recognise that awareness and understanding are essential to the effective prevention of modern slavery. We aim to provide proportionate training and guidance to relevant employees, particularly those involved in procurement, supplier management and recruitment. This training covers the indicators of modern slavery, how to raise concerns, and the responsibilities of individuals under our policies.
Monitoring, Review and Continuous Improvement
Holland Park Cleaners is committed to continuous improvement in our approach to identifying and addressing modern slavery risks. We monitor the effectiveness of our measures through regular reviews of supplier performance, incident reports, audit findings and feedback from stakeholders.
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed annually by the senior leadership of Holland Park Cleaners to ensure it remains current, effective and aligned with our values and legal obligations. Updates may also be made sooner where changes in legislation, our operations or identified risks require a revised response.
This statement reflects the position and commitments of Holland Park Cleaners for the current financial year and will be renewed and republished each year following review and approval at senior level.
